Columbus State University hosts one of Georgia’s largest veteran student populations. Our job is to provide a valuable service to our veterans and their dependents as a liaison between Columbus State University and the Department of Veterans Affairs regarding VA Educational Benefits. The Columbus State University Veterans Affairs Office also certifies enrollment to the Department of Veteran Affairs for each student attending our institution and using VA Educational Benefits.
The Department of Veterans Affairs Office follows the guidelines set forth by the Department of Veterans Affairs. All eligibility for educational benefits is determined by the Department of Veteran Affairs and not Columbus State University Veterans Affairs Office.
There are several steps to follow when applying for VA Educational Benefits whether you are a veteran transferring VA Educational Benefits to a spouse or dependent or a veteran using his or her VA Educational Benefits for their own education.
For more on these steps, and questions you may have, visit our pages listed to the left.
